Formulated from solvent-based acrylic resins of a highly pearlescent nature that gives it a high quality metallic appearance.

May be applied to multiple surfaces: wood, metal, stainless steel, glass, wicker, plaster, ceramic, stone, paper, hard plastic… On complex surfaces we recommended applying a primer coat first.

I did two coats of the paint and it wasn’t very shiny and metallic like the product shows

The MTN Pro Metallic Effect Paint is formulated to provide a glossy, metallic finish, but its performance can be affected by application. If the paint wasn’t applied in thin, even coats or if the can wasn’t shaken thoroughly (for at least 2-3 minutes), the metallic pigments may not have distributed evenly, resulting in a dull finish. Additionally, the primer beneath (MTN Pro Universal Primer White) might have impacted the metallic effect if it wasn’t fully cured before painting—typically requiring 24 hours minimum, even up to 72 ours depending on temperatures. Environmental factors like low temperatures (below 15°C) during application can also reduce shine.

To restore the metallic shine, lightly sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper (600-1000 grit) to smooth it out. Ensure the primer is fully cured. Shake the can vigorously for 2-3 minutes, then apply 2-3 thin coats of the Metallic Effect Paint, allowing 15-20 minutes between coats, at a distance of 20-25 cm. Work in a dry, warm environment (15-25°C) to maximize the metallic effect.
